363 days til Christmas!

26 Dec

We are having a pretty laid back day after Christmas here! We hope you are enjoying your day after Christmas! Bugg is playing with all his new toys and this Momma is picking up, relaxing with a latte…oh and cooking a turkey! (It’s not frozen today!) Here is Bugg playing with his favorite present from Santa. Which was really a hand me down from a friends son. Of course it is his favorite gift…it was free! Enjoy your day! ~Krystal

Silver Bells

11 Dec

I have been searching for something pretty and inexpensive to hang on my front porch. I got some inspriation from some giant bells and a traditional song.
Here is what you will need:
-4 large plastic bells
-Pine garand
-2 small bows

All I did was string the garland through the holes at the top of the bells, made it into a loop and then I attached a bow through the same hole.
These supplies were purchased from the Dollar Tree. I had left over garland and bows, so I only spent $4 on the bells.

Time to move Tiny

Tonight Tiny is taking a seat at the top of our Christmas tree.

Where is your Elf?

One Proud Momma

This is a picture of Bugg when the State Police Color Guard was at a rest in front of us. His face stayed glued to the American flag, he stood tall and put his hand on his heart. He looked up at me and said: “Mommy I put my hand on my heart!” In that one moment I knew what I was teaching him about respect for the flag, the uniform and our country was at least starting to sink in.

The Elf on the Shelf

Bugg is having some of the “Troublesome Threes” as in he is getting into trouble! We have still been using 1-2-3 Magic, great technique that we learned about in a parenting circle, but I wanted to do something fun too.So, I jumped on the band wagon and decided to give Elf a chance. He is making his grand entrance on top of our shades. I can’t wait to see what Bugg thinks! Krystal

Day 7 of the 25 Days of Christmas

7 Dec

Last year I bought a ton of Christmas crafts, after Thanksgiving. This is one that I have been so excited about all year! It was just a foam tree that snaps together and foam sticker ornaments.

Here is a quick and easy snowman door on Buggs room.  I cut 2 large circles for the eyes, 3 slightly smaller ones for the buttons and 6 smaller ones for the mouth out of black cardstock. I then cut a carrot (sorta) out of orange cardstock and used crepe paper for the scarf.
Now Bugg wants me to put one on every door!
