Getting Back To Our Roots

27 Jun

Our little city has a Franco American festival every year. Due to the economy it has changed over the past few years. Location, less booths and no carnival rides. Somethings that have never changed are the fireworks, delicious French food, live music and other performers.
I have been attending this festival all my life. I remember looking forward to it for months as a child.
Today Jayden went to his first La Kermesse! It didn’t have quite as much pizzaz as it did 20 years ago. It did have pony rides, a petting zoo and bounce houses!

A new begining!

14 Jun

This time of year is filled with excitement about the school year ending. There are lots of parties to celebrate the end of the school year, graduations and all the accomplishments that have been achieved. Today our family took some time to celebrate a new begining at my nieces preschool graduation!
Today was about celebrating her moving on to Kindergarten and all the possibilities ahead of her!

Perfect Smile

13 Jun

When Bugg was 6 months old he chipped his front tooth. Today I took him to the dentist today to have it fixed. When the dentist was finished, it was the first time I had seen him smile with a full perfect set of teeth! 😀

Cascades Waterfall

11 Jun

On the Cascade Rd in Saco, across from the flea market, there is a short path leading to a natural waterfall. It is a small waterfall, but still beautiful and exciting. There are steep paths that get you directly across from the falls. There is also a walking path that a jogging stroller could easily make it down!

I found a great recipie for Moon Sand, Moon Dough or Cloud Dough on Pinterest! I have wanted to try it for a while but I have been waiting for a rainy day. It’s 8 cups of flour mixed with 1 cup of baby oil.
